Play Sessions for Children in Knottingley
Open access — just turn up and play
What sessions do you run?
We run play sessions after school during term time and throughout the day during school holidays. Children aged 5–16 can attend any session — open access means no appointments, no barriers, just turn up.
After-School Sessions
Term-time sessions running Monday to Friday after school. Children choose their own adventure — climbing, building, creating, or just running wild with friends.
Register your child →Holiday Play Schemes
Full-day sessions during every school holiday. From outdoor adventures to indoor creative workshops — whatever the children want to do, we make it happen.
Book holiday sessions →SEND-Friendly Sessions
Dedicated sessions for children with additional needs. Smaller groups, quieter spaces, and trained staff ensure every child can enjoy adventure play at their own pace.

What actually happens during a session?
Children choose what they want to do — outdoor adventure play, arts and crafts, sports, or just hanging out. All supported by qualified play workers who know them by name. The children lead. We support.
Outdoor Adventure
Climbing structures, play equipment, and open green space — proper outdoor play, whatever the weather.
Creative Activities
Arts and crafts, den building, and imaginative play. Every session has something creative on offer.
Sports & Games
Group games, ball sports, and physical activities — burning off energy in the best way.
Cooking & Food
Cooking activities at the cafe and snack time — because adventure works up an appetite.
"It's a brilliant and amazing place — the staff are consistently described as caring and welcoming. A real gem of a playground."
How do I get started?
Register your child — it's free and takes two minutes. Or just turn up to any open session and give it a go. No pressure, no commitment.
